SWAP is a non-profit society operated by a volunteer Board of Directors. SWAP has been serving older adults 55 plus for over 25 years.

Our mission is to promote the physical, mental, social, environmental and spiritual well-being of seniors who are facing unique challenges. These can include social isolation, substance misuse and abuse and elder abuse.

These challenges are addressed by SWAP through the provision of prevention and education, individual and group counselling, advocacy and community development.

SWAP provides:
  • information and education to community groups, other service providers and family members for the purposes of prevention and early intervention and treatment planning.

How can I support SWAP services?

By volunteering your time or making a donation. Our funding covers the basics but we rely on donations for the important projects and activities that help isolated older adults. Donations or bequests to SWAP qualify for income tax deductions.

Your generous donations help SWAP provide ongoing prevention and education services to seniors.  Thank you for your assistance.

Donations can be made by sending a cheque or money order to:
